NEW YORK (AP) -- Fresenius Medical Care said Sunday the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared its home-use dialysis machine.
The German kidney treatment company said the 2008K(at)home machine will be available to patients by late spring or early summer. Fresenius said the machine can deliver dialysis services to a variety of patients, regardless of the patient's size or metabolic needs.
Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGAA provides kidney treatment services to about 210,000 people in more than 2,700 clinics in North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa.
